Beef and sauce freeze in the bag; the broccoli goes in fresh at the end so it stays crisp. Serve over rice.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb beef chuck or sirloin, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- ⅓ cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- (added at cooking time: ½ cup broth; 4 cups broccoli florets; 1 tbsp cornstarch to thicken)
Assembly & Freezing
Combine the beef, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar in a gallon freezer bag. Press flat and freeze. Good up to 3 months.
Cook from Frozen
- Add ½ cup broth to the Instant Pot and drop in the frozen block.
- Pressure cook on high for 15 minutes, then quick release.
- Set to Sauté, stir in a cornstarch slurry to thicken, and add the broccoli. Simmer 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.
Notes
Adding the broccoli fresh at the end keeps it from turning to mush. Serve over rice — see the Instant Pot rice timings in the bowl recipes.
